The Senior Video Editor (AI Specialist) is responsible for leading end-to-end cinematic storytelling across traditional and AI-assisted production workflows. The role combines filmmaking, editing, AI content creation, workflow automation, and creative innovation to deliver high-quality content at scale.
Beyond execution, this role is expected to continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies, build efficient creative workflows, mentor the team, and help shape the agency’s future AI-first content pipeline.
- Lead editing for key brand films, digital ads, testimonials, explainers, product demos, pitch films, and integrated campaign videos.
- Craft compelling story arcs with precise pacing, transitions, sound, visual rhythm, and flow.
- Manage large volumes of footage and assemble complex multi-layered timelines.
- Interpret scripts, VO, and ideas from Creative Directors and Copy Leads into cinematic narrative sequences.
- Build rough cuts, director’s cuts, and polished final cuts.
- Recommend visual treatments, transitions, music direction, and narrative structure.
- Edit content for:
- YouTube long-form & mid-form
- Reels / Shorts / Stories (vertical-first)
- Meta, Google, LinkedIn ad formats
- Event AVs, corporate films, product walkthroughs
- Motion + live-action hybrid videos
- Adapt edits across 9:16, 1:1, 4:5, and 16:9 with platform-native behaviour.
- Add sound effects, music beds, VO alignment, and basic sound design.
- Manage sound levels, clarity, ambience, and emotional tone.
- Perform basic colour correction (highlights, shadows, exposure, temperature).
- Work with Senior Leads for final colour grading.
- Work with Motion Designers to blend animation layers into footage.
- Coordinate with Art Directors to ensure brand visual consistency.
- Partner with Production Heads on footage organisation, proxies, and on-set requirements.
- Provide shot suggestions during preproduction and support storyboarding.
- Stay up to date with the latest AI models, tools, and creative workflows across image, video, audio, and automation.
- Demonstrate strong prompt engineering skills for both image and video generation.
- Be proficient with modern AI creative platforms such as OpenArt, Higgsfield, Runway, Pika, Kling, Google Veo, Midjourney, ChatGPT, Gemini and similar tools.
- Build repeatable AI workflows that improve creative quality while reducing production time.
- Identify opportunities for workflow automation using platforms such as n8n, Make, or similar orchestration tools.
- Experiment with AI agents and automation pipelines to improve creative operations.
- Evaluate new AI tools and recommend adoption where relevant.
- Leverage AI without compromising storytelling, visual quality, or brand consistency.
Creative AI Innovation
- Research emerging AI tools every week and evaluate their creative potential.
- Prototype new workflows that improve production efficiency.
- Document reusable prompt frameworks.
- Build internal AI knowledge repositories.
- Conduct internal AI workshops.
- Help standardize AI-assisted production across teams.
- Mentor mid-level and junior editors; provide detailed craft feedback.
- Conduct internal editing workshops and workflow improvement sessions.
- Review and approve team edits before Creative Director review.
- Help manage timelines, workloads, and project handoffs.
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Strong understanding of narrative timing, cinematic language, and storytelling.
- Ability to shape story, emotion, energy, and message clearly.
- Excellent sense of rhythm for music-driven edits.
- After Effects (intermediate to advanced)
- DaVinci Resolve for basic grading (good-to-have)
- Adobe Audition (audio cleanup)
- Advanced compositing basics: masking, rotoscoping, keying
- Familiarity with large-format footage workflows (ProRes, RAW, LOG)
- Tools like: OpenArt, Higgsfield, ChatGPT, Google AI Studio, Gemini, Runway, ElevenLabs, Kling, Pika
- Workflow Automation: n8n (preferred), Make.com (good to have)
- Prompt Engineering: Advanced prompt design, Prompt optimizatio, Structured prompting, Character consistency, Reference-based prompting
Audio & Voice
- Strong understanding of cinematic sound design and audio storytelling.
- Professional audio balancing, EQ, ambience, ducking, and mastering.
- Experience using AI voice tools such as ElevenLabs.
- Ability to direct voice performance through prompting and emotion control.
- Understanding of AI voice cloning ethics and production workflows.

- Bachelor's degree in Film Editing, Media, Animation, Design, VFX, or equivalent.
- 7–12 years of editing experience in agencies, studios, production houses, or digital content teams.
- Portfolio must show strong narrative craft, multi-format editing, and advanced polish.
6-9LPA, as per experience.
