Health and Safety Officer

Job Description****Job Opportunity**** Are you a proactive safety professional ready to drive a strong, positive safety culture?A leading provider of cold storage and logistics solutions is looking for a Health & Safety Officer to join their growing team in Cork! Roles and Responsibilities: Support and promote health & safety compliance across 4 operational sites. Conduct workplace audits, inspections, and incident investigations (root cause analysis).

Deliver engaging safety training, toolbox talks, and inductions for employees and management. Collaborate with site management to review Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and risk assessments. Track H&S KPIs and assist with BRCGS, ISO, and customer audits.

Qualifications and requirements: Experience in multi-site logistics, warehousing, cold storage, or food distribution environments. Knowledge of Irish H&S legislation (Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005). Experience with accredited systems (BRCGS, ISO, HACCP).

Strong communication, training, and influencing skills. Full clean Category B driving licence and willingness to travel between Irish sites. IOSH Membership or Train-the-Trainer qualification is a bonus (training support provided!)
